Stevewoods I have been with your company for 17 years and I am very displeased because something with you has changed or this company that I am with. I feel that no one should be getting discriminated against. I understand people need to make money but when you all oppress blacks by telling them your gonna pull their credit report that is down right invasion of my privacy and it's racism. I feel that this company has fallen from is standards and I'm Devastated. I'm down right hurt. I would never treat you all this way if I were in business. Yes people do go through hard times but that doesn't mean you step on them because of the color of their skin. I'm devastated and I need to find a new Insurace co.
I am writing this review mostly because of the review I read from another person who believed she was being discriminated against because her credit report had to be run. I have been with this agent and company for 16 years, ever since i was 17 years old. I want to point out that credit reports are pulled by all insurance companies and its unfair to claim this person or company is racist for doing what is a general practice of this and many industries. As a matter of fact, i switched to this company because they do not practice what is called "red lining" which is charging higher premiums just because of the zip code you live in, which is a way of saying lower income communities are higher risk, which often are where more minorities do live, which i do believe is a more prejucial unfair practice. I know this because when i was 17, the insurance company i was with was more than doubling my premium because our address had changed from st. Charles to Ferguson. But State farm gave me a fair rate based on my driving history only. I sympathize and know that we all hit hard times and our credit reflects those hard times, but it doesn't impact the situation as much as you may think. Let's just all remember to fully consider all relevant facts before making inflammatory comments.
