The amala was horrible. It was full of lumps. Clearly made by a newbie. The vegetable soup was tasteless. The beef had no taste and tasted like it was going bad. Like it had sat around for a while before it was cooked. To top it off, the waitress had poor customer service. She had a mean face and cared less about our meals. Don't waste your money. The owner seems nice though.
i️ would have rated this spot -1 if there was something like that. The worst food i’ve ever had in America, the jollof rice tasted like Gambia jollof(no taste), the soups were watery, and to think i drive 35min for this nonsense makes me wanna puke.
I've been looking for melon soup and pounded yams for the last three years every since my friend in Oklahoma made me a few dishes from his birthplace, Nigeria! If your looking for authentic west African food it is here it taste just like it. I will definitely be a regular now !
The food was very good we had : Egusi and poundo yam, yam porridge and jollof rice. Our order initially was not correct and the waitress, even though she had a slight attitude, was quick to correct things. I normally post a pic when I do reviews but as a testament to how good it was....there was nothing left on me or my husnands plates to take a pic of. S/N These dishes will always take time to prepare, I heard complaints of waiting but that is to be expected.
I'm sold on the whole tilapia fish, fried rice, plantains and spinach. Absolutely delicious!! I'll try something else one day, but for now that's my usual!
